Program Overview

BoomerRacks is an St. Louis ArtWorks enterprise that uses art and entreprenuership to generate revenues to sustain the youth mentoring programs. BoomerRacks promotes green living through recycling and fuel-free exercise.

Not only does ArtWorks promote the healthy advance of our community’s most valuable resource, its young people, we also encourage them to live greener lives and learn more about how to work with our environment rather than exploiting it: To that end, our apprentices are creating products that are not only artistic, but useful. And they are learning to create from discarded and recycled materials, giving new life to what would otherwise become waste.

Bicycle racks with heart and purpose – as well as a sense of fun: BoomerRacks are fashioned from used bicycle parts, which are revitalized and crafted into durable, kinesthetic art. Customizable with your organization’s colors name or symbol, they can also be sized specifically for your needs.

Testimonials

I had the opportunity to work with ArtWorks on the Whitaker Urban Concert poster project for Grace Hill Settlement House. It was a good experience all the way around. First, they were professional. They submitted several different ideas and worked with us on the final execution. They were enthusiastic, passionate, and took direction well. Secondly, it made us proud to know that our poster was created by a young, aspiring artist working within a top-notch not-for-profit organization. Working with ArtWorks is a win-win for everyone.
