Overview

Programming takes place year round at our Centene Center for Arts and Education studio in Grand Center. In the summer we expand to additional program sites in the city. The largest portion of the youth we serve are apprentices in ArtWorks’ Summer Program. Since 1995, youth apprentices in the Summer Program have been hired through a competitive application process in which artistic talent and personal motivation are employment criteria. Past apprentices who successfully finish the summer program by showing leadership, talent, and an interest are invited to continue working in the Fall and Spring programs.

Program Times

Spring Program: After school from 3:30 PM to 6 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Summer Program: Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 3:30 PM.
Fall Program: After school from 3:30 PM to 6 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Boomerang Gang: Thursdays from 4 PM to 6 PM.
